What is Inhale the Heavy?
Inhale the Heavy is a trusted, independent heavy metal blog founded in 2012. We exist to get loud music into more ears: new releases, album reviews, video premieres, interviews, and the bands still grinding it out on Bandcamp at 2 a.m.
Who runs Inhale the Heavy?
A dedicated heavy music fan who believes the best way to experience this music is loud and (preferably) on vinyl.

What kind of music do you cover?
Anything heavy and loud. That includes doom, sludge, thrash, black metal, death, grindcore, progressive, instrumental, noise, alternative, experimental, goth, shoegaze, classic metal, NWOBHM, and everything in between. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow, always loud!
Do you take music submissions or promo material?
We listen to a lot of new music and cover releases that fit the site’s vibe. If you’d like us to consider your album, EP, single, or video, reach out via this email: mail[at]inhaletheheavy.com. Include streaming links, download options if available, press info, and any relevant details. We can’t guarantee coverage, but we always check what comes in.
Do you do interviews, features, or other types of coverage?
We occasionally run features and other special content. If you have a pitch that fits the heavy music focus, send it to ken[at]inhaletheheavy.com.
What’s in the shop?
Inhale the Heavy logo stickers are available. The sticker is a custom die-cut design on durable material with matte lamination—resistant to water, oil, UV, and scratches. Get one!
The shop will soon feature physical media from a carefully maintained personal collection of vinyl, CDs, and cassettes spanning crushing doom to classic thrash and beyond—vetted by a true fan. Purchases help support the site and keep the heavy rotation spinning.
